Also installed the seatbelts. I need to install the fire extinguisher and buy a new gas pedal, stick down the trunk liner, and fix the gas tank leak. Pics below of install.

I ordered “moss green” carpets, with the idea that they’d go with the gold/bronzeish interior and the green stripes on the seats. Which used to be a bit more gold, but I digress. When I got the carpet the real color would be justly called NUCLEAR AVOCADO. Uh, really bold. Much brighter than the more neutral light green the sample pic appeared as.

But, exactly the same tint as the stripes on the seat now, as faded over 55 years.

I’m not actually sure Nuclear Avocado was what I needed, but it sure is what I got. It’s made itself at home and metaphorically went straight to the fridge for a beer.

The more subdued color that it looks like on the back is closer to what I expected, but noooo.

I bet it grows on you more and more, especially once everything else starts coming together as you plan. You’ll be bragging about your color coordinated interior like you planned it that way.

Also, there is a carpet matching the drapes joke in there somewhere for you to exploit, I’m sure.
